Kabaddi Points—How It Works?

If the raider touches a player and runs back safely, his team gets points. If the other team catches him and stops him from going back, they get the point.

The team that is defending tries to stop the raider by holding him, grabbing him, or blocking his way. They must stop him before he crosses back into his own half. If they succeed, they get a point.

Both teams take turns sending raiders. When a player is caught, he is out and has to sit outside the court. That player can come back into the game if his team scores a point.

There are also special points:

• Bonus point – The raider can get this if he crosses a special line in the other team’s half, but only if the other team has six or more players on the court.
• All-out – If all players of one team are out, the other team gets extra points (usually two).
